Which is the best plan for me?

I am part of an organization that works with volunteers who travel to Central and South America. Can I get a group package?
Most definitely! Contact us. We will share more information, assess your interests and propose a plan that fits your needs.
How do I sign up for a learning program?
You first need to choose your program, and then fill out our Sign Up form. We will contact you within 48 hours to coordinate the first free lesson to assess your level and understand your interests. We will then design your learning curriculum, your class schedule, and send you our proposal. You will need to confirm your participation by submitting the confirmation form and the payment for your plan. Then you are ready to start!
What if I decide to not take any classes after the first free hour?
There is no obligation to sign up for a plan after the first free hour if you did not enjoy it.
When do I make my payment?
We will request that you make your payment after you receive your free assessment hour, your learning plan and classes schedule. You will review our proposal, and if you decide to continue, you can confirm your classes and then complete your payment.
How do I make a payment?
Payments are made through PayPal. We will send you the link with the information once you confirm the plan and schedule for your classes.
How do the payment plans work?
Together we can design a payment plan that works for you. You can pay the fee in up to four installments.
What does the program fee include?
For all programs, we include the sign up fee of $15.00 to cover administration costs, the payment of fair wages to our instructors (65% of the amount), and the funds to support the community empowerment projects that our partner Soluciones Comunitarias implements (35% of the remaining sign up fee).
What will I be learning?
All the classes are tailored to your level and what you want to learn, but every class will include a bit of grammar, new vocabulary, and some cultural information. Remember that our goal is to help you gain skills in conversational Spanish.
Do the teachers speak English?
Most of the teachers understand a lot of English, however, they try to enourage you to speak Spanish at all times. The teachers may use pictures or gestures to help you learn but the idea is to immerse yourself fully in the Spanish language.
How long is each class?
Depending on your availability, we can schedule one or two hour sessions.
How do I change/cancel a lesson?
Simply email your instructor and ask for the lesson to be changed to another day. Make sure that it is done with anticipation, so that the new class can be planned according to your needs and to the instructor's availability.
What if I want to add a new course?
You can definitely do so. You can decide to continue with the same instructor or meet a new one. All you need to do is pick another plan and pay the fee. In this case, there would be no additional sign up fee.
How long do I have to take the classes? Do the hours expire?
You can take weeks or months to complete your classes. Your hours expire after one year.
What do I need to take the online classes?
You need a computer, a tablet, or a smartphone. You can decide to use Skype (a software that enables you to have voice and video conversations online. It is free to download and easy to use) or Google Hangouts (the communication platform developed by Google that includes instant messaging, video chat, and SMS. As long as you have a Gmail account, you can easily set up Hangouts).
What can I do if I already paid for the classes but don't or can't complete them?
You can gift them to a friend or take the classes later. You have 1 year to use them before they expire.
